About the role

Data Center Electrical Lead responsible for operation, maintenance, safety, and 24/7 reliability of critical electrical and mechanical systems in a mission-critical data center environment in Lappeenranta, Finland.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain critical electrical systems including: UPS systems, medium- and low-voltage switchgear, transformers, backup generators, ATS/STS equipment, battery systems, PDUs
  • Monitor facility systems using BMS/EPMS platforms
  • Perform routine inspections and operational checks of critical infrastructure
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures and alarms
  • Support emergency response and incident recovery activities
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors during maintenance activities
  • Follow Finnish electrical safety regulations and company safety procedures
  • Support lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and safe switching operations
  • Maintain compliance with SFS 6002, occupational safety requirements, and site policies
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are properly documented
  • Participate in 24/7 shift operations, including nights and weekends
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and maintenance records
  • Assist with commissioning and testing of new equipment and infrastructure upgrades
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency and reliability

Qualifications

  • Vocational qualification, diploma, or degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Automation Technology, or Power Systems
  • Experience working with electrical infrastructure or industrial systems
  • Knowledge of power distribution systems, electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance practices
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and single-line diagrams
  • Good English communication skills
