About the role

Senior Construction Project Manager responsible for lead buildout, commissioning, and handover of Nebius data centers, ensuring regulatory compliance, budget adherence, and operational readiness while coordinating with architects, contractors, and authorities. This is a remote position with travel between data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of data center construction, from design review to commissioning and handover.
  • Collaborate with architects, MEP consultants, contractors, and vendors to meet project specifications and timelines.
  • Review design drawings and technical submittals for compliance with company standards and operational requirements.
  • Manage change control, progress tracking, and budget adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for key systems such as UPS, chillers, generators, and switchgear.
  • Serve as primary liaison with local authorities, utilities, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure permits, licenses, and inspections are completed on schedule.
  • Maintain compliance with local codes, safety standards, and data center industry best practices (ISO, Uptime Institute, TIA-942).
  • Manage documentation and reporting for occupancy certification and operational approvals.
  • Lead commissioning activities, ensuring all systems are tested and validated.
  • Develop and implement SOPs and EOPs for facility systems.
  • Train operations teams on site-specific systems, monitoring tools, and safety practices.
  • Ensure smooth transition from construction to operations with full documentation and warranty records.
  • Oversee daily facility operations, preventive maintenance, and vendor management post-commissioning.
  • Monitor and optimize PUE and energy efficiency.
  • Implement sustainability and reliability improvements, including capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all facility operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on data center or colocation infrastructure
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, quality control, and design coordination
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
