About the role

Store leadership role in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. Leads and coaches a team to engage customers, execute Apple’s priorities, and deliver quality customer experiences while maintaining store operations and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team that identifies customers’ needs, provide exceptional customer interactions, and deliver on Apple’s business priorities.
  • Coach and develop leaders to create high-performing teams that deliver exceptional results.
  • Attract, recruit, train, develop, and retain a diverse, high-performing team.
  • Participate in Floor Leadership and remove operational obstacles to improve customer experience and team performance.
  • Develop the store’s operational strategy to drive Apple’s business priorities and achieve store performance goals.
  • Determine store scheduling strategy in alignment with program guidelines, accounting for business, individual, and team needs.
  • Analyze and use the business information required to support and execute the Apple Retail vision.
  • Assess team and customer sentiment, address opportunities, and recognize successes.
  • Maintain and uphold Apple’s policies and protect assets including confidential information.
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment and demonstrate Apple’s values of inclusion and diversity.
  • Be a role model for inclusive leadership and build, develop, and retain diverse teams.
  • Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all team members.
  • Perform other tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Be available to work a schedule based on business needs that may include nights, weekends, and public holidays in the retail store, and reliably attend work as scheduled, in line with local laws and any accommodations.
  • Have 5+ years of leadership experience in retail, sales, or a related field.
  • Be proficient in English and the local language, both written and spoken (sign language supported).
