About the role
Operations Associate at SyntheticFi, a remote-friendly fintech startup, acting as the main liaison between SyntheticFi, financial advisors, clients, and custodian partners to ensure smooth account openings, transfers, and timely support while helping scale operational processes.
Responsibilities
- Communicate daily with custodian partners to ensure smooth paperwork processing, resolve discrepancies, and manage margin requirements.
- Manage new client account setup, documentation, and serve as a primary point of contact for operational inquiries.
- Ensure all operational activities adhere to internal policies and financial regulations.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency, potentially by assisting with the implementation of new software or automation tools.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and leadership teams on new financial products by assessing operational feasibility, designing workflows, and testing implementation processes.
Qualifications
- Experience working with RIA custodians such as Charles Schwab, Pershing, Fidelity, or similar institutions
- Experience supporting advisor, brokerage, wealth management, or RIA operations
- Strong understanding of account opening, transfers, and operational workflows
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
