About the role

Senior program management role leading water and wastewater capital improvement projects within Accenture Construct, delivering end-to-end programs from strategy through handover with a focus on client relationship management, BD, scope/cost/schedule control, and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to pre-position for new work, RFPs, RFQs and ensure contractual requirements are met; provide regular updates on project status and manage client expectations; explore opportunities for repeat business or new project opportunities.
  • Lead business development including writing proposals for water and wastewater pursuits and building high-value relations with strategic clients.
  • Provide ongoing support to staff during all project phases (pre-design, procurement, construction, post-construction); manage cost management, schedule management, quality control, and document control per policies and standards.
  • Oversee coordination of all project activities on construction sites; ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements; promote hazard-free environment.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, contractors, and stakeholders; ensure documentation and timely distribution of project correspondence and progress updates.
  • Manage planning, budgeting, and scheduling to meet deadlines within approved budgets including labor, expenses, and timeframes.
  • Administer contracts for design and construction firms; act as owner's representative to address changes and ensure contract integrity.
  • Supervise and mentor Project Managers, Construction Managers, and staff; promote diversity in recruitment and retention; encourage leadership opportunities for underrepresented groups.
  • Assign and delegate tasks; monitor workload distribution to ensure high performance across project execution.
  • Track program and project status; provide management reports on scheduling, cost control, staffing and contract requirements.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems and tools.
  • Manage client and stakeholder relationships; identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Develop recommended actions and assist in resolving disputes related to design and construction.
  • Flexible work location with mix of remote, onsite client sites, and Accenture offices; some in-person collaboration required.
  • Prioritize work/life balance with flexibility to support individual needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture or equivalent experience
  • 15+ Years of experience providing project/program management services
  • Experience managing full construction project life cycle including pre-construction, design phases, and oversight of constructability reviews
  • Knowledge of construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, materials, applications, and practices
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office; experience with MS Project or Primavera (or equivalent)
