About the role

Director, People Business Partner to partner with Operations leadership, build and lead a team of People Business Partners, and scale HR support across a globally distributed Operations function (IT, supply chain, data center operations). Player-coach role blending strategic advisory with hands-on partnership in a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the most senior People partner to Operations leadership, embedded in strategic planning, workforce decisions, and org design as we scale globally.
  • Build and lead a team of People Business Partners across the Operations organization, establishing standards for consistent, high-quality people and business support as the function scales.
  • Lead PBP workstreams on geographic expansion in partnership with internal People teams; build a scalable, repeatable model for new sites and regions.
  • Advise Operations leaders on organizational design; collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Finance to translate growth plans into headcount plans considering AI and automation impacts.
  • Partner with Operations leaders on executive development, coaching, and succession planning for senior leadership.
  • Drive talent mapping and calibration for Operations leadership; uphold job architecture and leveling to reward fairly and consistently.
  • Consult on complex people matters balancing risk, speed, and business practicality.

Qualifications

  • Significant HR Business Partner experience, including building and leading a team of HRBPs or People Partners.
  • Proven partnership in operations, data center, manufacturing, logistics, retail, or field environments (blended-population experience).
  • Track record of scaling or standing up people support across new geographies, sites, or facilities.
  • Ability to act as both strategic advisor to senior leaders and hands-on partner in day-to-day work.
  • Depth in org design, workforce planning, talent calibration, leveling, and job architecture, data-driven.
