About the role

Front-End RTL Infrastructure - CAD Engineer responsible for building and supporting the infrastructure and work environments used by design and verification teams for RTL modification, analysis, and verification. Drives AI-enabled improvements, manages Perforce, configuration management, training materials, and vendor trainings, and promotes robust, scalable infrastructure across RTL Design and DV teams within Apple’s HWTech organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support reliable infrastructure and work environments for RTL design and verification
  • Support RTL gatekeeping infrastructure of design and verification collateral as well as soft IP development and release methodologies
  • Contribute to Perforce administration and ensure integrity and performance of the version control ecosystem
  • Maintain centralized configuration management system enabling different design views to be loaded into Front-End flows
  • Drive innovation by building generative AI solutions across these systems to accelerate productivity and improve infrastructure reliability
  • Manage internal training materials, keep them up to date, and coordinate vendor trainings for Designer/DV engineers
  • Promote and drive robust, scalable infrastructure solutions across RTL Design and DV teams within Apple’s HWTech organization
  • Foster North Star vision: high-quality infrastructure and flows enabling Apple Silicon to produce chips for Apple products

Qualifications

  • Minimum of BS degree
  • Expertise in programming in Python or Perl
  • Knowledge in Verilog and SystemVerilog
  • Experience with Front-End EDA tools such as Clock Domain Crossing, Reset Domain Crossing or Lint
  • Understanding of Front-End RTL Build or Construction flows
  • Excellent communication, debug and root-causing skills
  • Customer-oriented mindset and support experience
  • Experience in contributing to large-scale software system development from specification to deployment
  • MSEE/CE/CS preferred
