About the role

Role within Panel Process and Optics (PPO) Engineering responsible for developing innovative manufacturing process technologies for Apple Displays & Touch. Serves as a focal point in the process development of advanced key process modules from concept through product engineering validation builds.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new innovative manufacturing process technologies to solve complex design challenges with direct impact on future product quality and delivery of Apple Displays & Touch.
  • Serve as a focal point in the process development of advanced key process modules from the concept/architecture stage through product engineering validation builds.
  • Work at a fast pace and be highly self-motivated; problem solve outside of respective technical area.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or related field; 10 years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience in leading a project from early development to high volume production
  • Experience in development of module processes and integration in back-end processes of Flat Panel Display & Touch industry or related industries
  • Experience in DOE, data analysis, or SPC control
  • Experience in failure mode analysis, root cause investigation, and problem solving for product yield and quality issues
  • Ph.D. or M.S. degree in Physics, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred)
  • Project Management Skills, excellent data handling, documentation, critical milestone creation, and organizational skill
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills and demonstrated leadership ability
  • Ability for international business travel to support project implementation and collaboration with external vendors for product manufacturing
