About the role

Role family focused on manufacturing design across Apple’s enclosure manufacturing, partnering with Industrial Design, Product Design, Quality, Global Supply Management and suppliers to develop high-precision manufacturing processes, tooling, and programs that scale across worldwide supply bases while maintaining quality, cost and delivery goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and implementation of high-precision mechanical manufacturing processes across Apple’s worldwide supply base.
  • Collaborate with Apple Industrial Design, Product Design, Manufacturing Design partners and suppliers.
  • Contribute to end-to-end manufacturing solutions for Apple’s hardware enclosures (housing, finishes, form factors).
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure solutions meet product quality, cost, yield, capacity, schedule and environmental goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, quality, process development, program management or supply chain management
  • Ability to use data to solve problems and make products
  • Proven track record of delivering on challenging projects with tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to peers, stakeholders and leaders
  • BS IE, ME or applicable degree
