About the role

Apple is seeking Manufacturing Design roles to develop and implement high-precision mechanical manufacturing processes, lead cross-functional collaboration with Industrial Design, Product Design, Quality and Supply Management, and drive manufacturing solutions for Apple’s hardware enclosures and products at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and implementation of high precision mechanical manufacturing processes across Apple’s worldwide supply base.
  • Collaborate with Apple Industrial Design, Product Design, Manufacturing Design, Quality Engineering, Global Supply Management, and suppliers to ensure product quality, cost, yield, capacity, schedule, and environmental goals.
  • Develop processes for building extraordinary products from existing and new ideas based on business needs.
  • Manage and guide development activities of process development, operations, and quality teams within Apple’s Manufacturing Design group.
  • Lead the team to deliver end-to-end manufacturing solutions for Apple’s hardware enclosures.

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, quality, process development, program management or supply chain management.
  • Ability to use data to solve problems and make products.
  • Proven track record of delivering on challenging projects with tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to peers, stakeholders and leaders.
  • BS IE, ME or applicable degree.
