About the role

Security engineer focused on Apple Pay, combining hardware, software, and services security testing with AI-driven workflows. Build Skills, Agents, and AI workflows to enhance security testing across the SDLC, perform hands-on testing, threat modeling, and validate AI findings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop AI workflows to perform security review and security testing
  • Develop Skills and Agents that instill security best practices into every phase of the SDLC: design, implementation, review, build/CI-CD, and post-launch
  • Threat model development and secure design assessment of hardware and software
  • Hands-on testing of hardware and software
  • Validate and challenge AI findings, not just consume them
  • Drive and agency: use tools to learn new areas, experiment, and develop security issue discovery capabilities
  • Security engineering foundation: threat modeling hardware and/or software designs, perform hands-on security testing, security code reviews
  • AI/agentic fluency: build/refine Skills, Agents and AI workflows, independently verify findings

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a Security focused role
  • Superior problem solving and debugging skills
  • Understanding of cryptographic algorithms (PQC, AES, SHA, etc.)
  • Ability to clearly communicate across many teams
  • Ability to propose new designs and architectural improvements
  • Experience shipping software or integrating security into the software lifecycle
