About the role

DFM engineer focusing on flexible printed circuits assembly manufacturing process setup, quality control and continuous improvements. Lead projects, collaborate with factories, and ensure manufacturability from design through mass production for FPCA manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Act as project leader to oversee a variety of projects, collaborate with factories and manage on technical and quality.
  • Collaborate with upstream and downstream on design, process, quality, specifications and issues.
  • Plan, develop and implement technical procedures for FPCA manufacturing process and quality requirements.
  • Provide early manufacturing involvement to ensure new products is manufacturable. Perform design, manufacturing process, quality review, identify design and manufacturing risks, provide design and process solutions during New Product Introduction (NPI) to mass production, and handle the implementations and qualification.
  • Establish guidelines, Standard Operating Procedure & Best Known Method for manufacturing process & quality control.
  • Manage NPI projects and build, improve quality and efficiency, to ensure seamless transition to mass production.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Science fields.
  • 3+ years quality or process engineering experience in electronic industry.
  • Be proficient in using process & quality tools like: SPC, MSA, FMEA and etc.
  • Willing to travel to support manufacturing builds & resolve hot issues. Able to relocate and onsite support critical NPI/sustaining projects as necessary.
  • Good communication, problem solving and presentation skills.
  • Good team-player and independent, able to work under fast pace, committed and result orientated.
