About the role

Validation lead for end-to-end at-scale validation of AMD EPYC and Instinct platforms, owning validation strategy, architecture, and execution across distributed farm environments to maximize coverage and minimize customer escapes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and continuously evolve validation coverage strategy to maximize bug discovery, minimize customer escapes, and align validation with real-world customer usage
  • Drive technical innovation to improve validation capabilities, including content, tool and script development, methodology enhancement, and cross-functional initiatives
  • Assess customer escapes and translate them into structured validation test plans that close coverage gaps
  • Evaluate customer impact of gaps and mitigate risks prior to production
  • Lead collaboration with multiple teams to ensure features are validated and optimized on time
  • Debug issues found during bring-up, validation, and production phases of SOC programs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical or computer engineering
  • Substantial pre-silicon and post-silicon validation experience including system-level validation
  • Experience in validation architect roles in Client, SoC, or Server
  • Hands-on knowledge of system architecture, debugging, and validation strategy
  • Programming/scripting skills (C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python)
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter with leadership, communication, and customer-oriented skills
