About the role

Role focusing on generative models (diffusion and auto-regressive) within Apple Intelligence, contributing to Genmoji, Image Playground and Image Wand by researching, training, adapting and deploying state-of-the-art foundation models across web-scale to on-device optimizations.

Responsibilities

  • Build and/or fine-tune modern image/video generation models based on diffusion and auto-regressive technologies.
  • Train and adapt large-scale image/video/audio/multimodal foundation models.
  • Apply cutting-edge AI research to practical Apple applications and ship impactful technology.
  • Collaborate across academia/industry-style research environments and deliver complex projects or publications.

Qualifications

  • M.S. or PhD in Computer Science or related field (Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent).
  • 2+ years of experience training and fine-tuning modern image/video generation models.
  • Experience in academic or industrial research environment.
  • Proficient in ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to drive clarity in ambiguity.
  • Track record of strong industrial research, including complex projects or publications in top-tier venues.
