About the role

APO Logistics Manager based in Shanghai responsible for leading APO Log team in managing OEM back-dock operations in China/SE Asia, in-country/region road transport, and Air/Sea/Rail freight from multiple gateways. Focus on meeting/exceeding key metrics, managing OEMs and 3PLs, and developing a sustainable, cost-effective, and carbon-neutral supply chain while developing the team.

Responsibilities

  • Establish strategies and tactical plans to scale and support the APO, Regional and WW Logistics teams.
  • Develop worldwide project/execution plans to support volume surges and NPI launches; ensure supplier compliance to Apple HSR/FSR and Secure-Ship Operations.
  • Interface closely with Worldwide/Regional Logistics teams on daily operations and communicate logistics risks and developments within China.
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess supplier KPIs and implement operational improvements across the supply chain.
  • Commit to on-time shipment execution at origin and maintain product confidentiality for all NPI shipments (zero loss, zero disclosure).
  • Engage and provide guidance on onboarding new suppliers (OEMs, freight forwarders, 3PLs); drive cost savings and carbon footprint reduction through process and packaging improvements.
  • Periodically conduct freight forwarder warehouse security audits to ensure compliance with Apple’s HSR & FSR requirements.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure Apple’s FGs & AppleCares TDM and SOPs are met.
  • Develop and optimize logistics networking to achieve shortest inbound material lead-times.
  • Travel as required to international or domestic cities to support APO Logistics needs.

Qualifications

  • BA degree with minimum 3-5 years proven logistics & supply chain experience or equivalent.
  • Preferred broader knowledge of freight management (Bulk, Parcel, Ocean, Domestic/cross-border) and data analysis/system development knowledge.
  • Demonstrated people management experience and ability to develop a team.
