About the role

Technical Expert role in Apple Retail focused on extensive troubleshooting, hardware repairs (iPhone and other Apple products), customer education, and teamwork to deliver an inclusive, high-quality repair and service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and resolve service concerns for select Apple hardware and software.
  • Perform repairs on iPhone and other Apple products as required and educate customers on repair options and Apple products and services.
  • Deepen knowledge of Apple products, services, and Genius Bar repair processes; stay up to date to support efficient repairs.
  • Provide excellent service by understanding customer needs, identifying ownership opportunities, presenting product/service recommendations, and educating customers on ways to buy.
  • Work with team leaders to identify recurring repair problems and provide feedback to Apple.
  • Use extensive hardware and software knowledge to identify root causes and educate others on the team.
  • Perform other tasks as needed, including supporting customer-facing activities on or off the sales floor.
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment by respecting differences and fostering learning; demonstrate Apple’s values of inclusion and diversity.

Qualifications

  • Experience in retail or sales, or related work experience.
  • Visual inspection and fine motor skills to safely perform hardware repairs.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a customer service environment.
