About the role

Application Engineers act as the glue between customers and engineering teams, responsible for customer success and driving impact with high-priority engagements. This role focuses on owning account strategy, managing executive relationships, understanding customer needs for autonomy, and ensuring Applied’s products deliver maximum impact.

Responsibilities

  • Own account strategy for major enterprise customers of Applied
  • Manage executive and leadership relationships
  • Work closely with customers to understand their development needs and use cases for autonomy to propose effective use of Applied’s products
  • Ensure customer needs are supported by broader engineering team through effective prioritization
  • Collaborate with our sales teams to gather requirements through detailed technical discussions and workshops
  • Explore new product development areas driven by strategic understanding of customer landscape

Qualifications

  • Experience working with automotive OEMs or suppliers
  • Prior work in autonomous vehicle or robotics development domains
  • 5+ years as either an application engineer or a developer with experience in interacting with end-customers
  • Familiarity with best practices in large scale software development
  • Strong communication skills and focus on solving customer problems
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, software engineering or equivalent
