About the role

Software Engineer with AUTOSAR expertise to drive development of in-vehicle software solutions, collaborating with customers to port, integrate and deploy applications into the Vehicle OS across Classic and Adaptive AUTOSAR platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with customers to integrate their software features into our Vehicle OS using C and C++
  • Design, configure and integrate software components on Classic AUTOSAR (RTE, BSW, SWC) and/or Adaptive AUTOSAR (ara::com, Execution Management, SOME/IP) platforms
  • Support customers in migrating or bridging AUTOSAR-based applications into the Vehicle OS
  • Develop vehicle platform software in C, C++ and Simulink in response to direct customer requests
  • Project manage vehicle integration timelines and execution to hit SoP milestones
  • Set up a vehicle integration and testing strategy across multiple timezones with Japan and the US
  • Influence the technical strategy of the team when balancing work on new features, scaling challenges, and technical debt
  • Ensure the team delivers high-quality software that can fulfill the project requirements

Qualifications

  • MSc in computer science, robotics or related fields from a top institution
  • 5+ years of experience shipping complex production software, ideally in automotive
  • Hands-on experience with Classic AUTOSAR and/or Adaptive AUTOSAR, including architecture, configuration and integration
  • Familiarity with AUTOSAR toolchains (e.g. Vector DaVinci, EB tresos, ETAS ISOLAR or similar)
  • Production experience writing or integrating C++ based software
  • Proven experience designing and implementing solutions to complex architectural problems
  • An understanding of automotive electronic systems and how to set up and debug them
  • Fluency in both English and Japanese (written and verbal), with the ability to operate effectively in a bilingual business environment
