About the role

Entry-level engineering role in the CoDesign and NextGen organization focusing on software/hardware interface work, kernel development, performance modeling, and system bring-up from base layer to simulations, based in Sunnyvale, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Learn Cerebras products and platforms end to end from base layer programming the Wafer Scale Engine through kernel development
  • Model performance for software products and validate work on actual hardware and simulations
  • Work on high performance kernel design, ASIC performance modeling and tuning, system bring-up, software tuning, system robustness and simulations

Qualifications

  • MS/BS in Computer Engineer, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • Strong background in computer architecture
  • Strong analytical and problem solving mindset
  • Exposure to CPU/GPU Architecture and programming models
  • Experience working on CPU/GPU simulators
  • Exposure to performance profiling and debug on any system pipeline
  • Experience with C++ and Python
  • Exposure to and basic understanding of machine learning is desired

Benefits

  • Relocation support for candidates relocating to the Bay Area
  • Base salary range: $145,000-$155,000 annually, plus equity
