About the role
Senior-level research role focused on foundation models for molecular AI, including generative and discriminative models, with opportunities to publish and contribute to drug discovery platform at Genesis Molecular AI.
Responsibilities
- Lead transformative research projects from conception to implementation, tackling core challenges in generative modeling for molecular systems.
- Design and develop novel models and algorithms, building upon the latest literature in diffusion models, flow matching, RL, LLMs, and other cutting-edge areas.
- Execute ambitious experiments at scale, leveraging computational infrastructure to validate hypotheses and push state-of-the-art.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to translate research into impact on the drug discovery platform.
- Contribute to the global research community by publishing work and representing Genesis at premier AI/ML conferences and workshops.
- Mentor and guide other researchers and engineers, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and innovation.
Qualifications
- A deep learning expert with a portfolio of novel research in generative or predictive modeling (e.g., diffusion, flow matching, RL, foundation model architectures and training methods).
- Independent, ownership-driven researcher with strong execution drive.
- Strong coding skills; comfortable building, debugging, and shipping models.
- Curious, problem-oriented mindset at the intersection of AI, physics, chemistry, and biology; willing to learn biology/chemistry concepts.
- Good communication and teamwork; thrives in collaborative environments where science and engineering intersect.
- Curiosity-driven mindset aligned with Genesis culture.
