About the role
Curri is seeking an FP&A Director to build and own the company's financial planning and analysis function from the ground up, owning forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and board reporting to enable the CFO and VP Finance to focus on strategy.
Responsibilities
- Redesign Curri's financial reporting infrastructure to automated, scalable systems built on existing data
- Build and maintain automated monthly and quarterly reporting workflows
- Deploy tools to accelerate financial analysis, scenario modeling, and narrative generation
- Establish performance dashboards and KPIs for real-time leadership insight
- Lead and evolve core financial models including operating forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans with CFO/VP Finance
- Build sophisticated models from scratch and break complex problems into financial components
- Review monthly/quarterly budget variances with department leads and propose actions
- Support strategic initiatives via scenario analysis, ROI modeling, and ad hoc financial research
- Prepare executive-level financial reporting and board-ready presentations with clear analysis/narrative
- Translate financial data into actionable insights for senior leadership and cross-functional partners
- Contribute to investor and board materials as the company scales
- Be the go-to financial resource for strategic/analytic requests across the business
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and Product to support planning and decision-making
- Analyze trends, variances, and key drivers to explain performance and inform next steps
- Serve as a close thought partner to CFO/VP Finance and C-suite on improving financial visibility, rigor, and execution across the company
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or similar analytical finance role
- Expert financial modeling skills, ability to build models from scratch and translate complex data into actionable insights
- Strong familiarity with modern FP&A tools and optimization instincts
- Demonstrated experience implementing and using AI tools to accelerate financial analysis, reporting, or forecasting (shipped work)
- Systems-builder mindset designing scalable processes and automations
- High ownership and ability to operate independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Experience working cross-functionally in a high-growth startup or similar environment
