About the role
Founding ML/engineering role at Scout (YC-backed AI news aggregator). Work directly with CTO to optimize agent-based retrieval, perform model architecture research, latency optimization, cloud infrastructure, and contribute to product roadmap. Collaboration with customers for onboarding and support.
Responsibilities
- optimize agent-based retrieval
- engineer across the stack including model architecture research
- latency optimization at software and hardware level
- cloud infrastructure
- product roadmap
- work closely with customers on onboarding, support, and satisfaction
Qualifications
- Master's degree in computer science / engineering
- experience in engineering ML products
- graduate level work in deep learning and transformer models strongly preferred
- demonstrable experience in deep learning research, cloud computing, software/hardware co-design
- strong organizational and problem solving skills
