Founding Member of Technical Staff - Engineering at Polymath, an RL research lab building simulation environments and contributor platforms for long-horizon AI agents. Role involves building systems powering RL environments, QA data pipelines, and tooling for environment/task creation; part of founding team with multi-hat responsibilities at the intersection of engineering, research, and product.
Responsibilities
- Develop platforms that allow contributors to create RL environments
- Design QA agents to ensure data quality
- Tooling to improve environment and task creation processes
Qualifications
- Strong engineering fundamentals
- Prolific user of AI tools
- Experience with full-stack product development
- Experience with infrastructure, containerization, networking, and distributed systems
- Interest in reinforcement learning environments

About Polymath
Simulated worlds to train & evaluate long-horizon AI agents
We’re heading towards a future where AI agents will be able to perform useful work over long horizons, with little or no human supervision. To increase the reliability, performance, and safety of autonomous agents, they must be trained in simulation environments that reflect the real world. Polymath builds simulated worlds for agents to practice and learn through experience. We're a team of researchers and engineers from UC Berkeley, Hume AI, Plaid, and Amazon.
