About the role

Senior engineer to build the platform that runs AI agents for Sentry's AI/ML initiatives, enabling production-grade agented AI workflows, debuggable runs, and seamless model eval/rollout tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Build state-of-the-art agentic AI platforms to triage, debug, and solve real production issues
  • Make every run debuggable: traces, cost and latency per run, and enough context to explain a bad answer
  • Build eval and rollout tooling so we can swap models without guessing
  • Keep it flexible enough that next quarter's model or protocol is an upgrade, not a rewrite
  • Leverage Sentry’s novel (and massive) dataset of errors, spans, and profiles
  • Own major AI initiatives, building alongside developers and product teams

Qualifications

  • 5+ years building production systems, including LLM-backed products, and can point to one people relied on
  • You write solid production Python and TypeScript
  • You have good distributed-systems instincts: timeouts, idempotency, failure modes
  • Model training experience is a plus, not a requirement
