About the role

Electrical Engineer at Picogrid responsible for designing, building, and deploying mission-critical hardware systems for U.S. defense operations, owning full design lifecycle from prototyping to field deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full design lifecycle for various hardware products: from rapid prototyping and validation through production and direct field deployment.
  • Collaborate closely with software, mechanical, and deployment teams to ensure systems operate reliably in harsh environments.
  • Design and release custom PCBAs into production for high-reliability applications.
  • Interpret and apply design specifications, datasheets, and technical drawings.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of industry experience designing and releasing custom PCBAs into production.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Deep understanding of high-speed digital design, signal integrity, power electronics, and common electronic circuits.
  • Proven experience in schematic capture and PCB design for high-reliability applications (aerospace, defense, or similar industries preferred).
  • Growth mindset, results-oriented focus, and proficiency in leveraging modern tools to maximize productivity.
  • Ability to interpret and apply design specifications, datasheets, and technical drawings.

  • Base salary range: $160,000 - $180,000 per year.
