About the role

Assisted Autonomy Drivers needed in Lancaster, TX to remotely assist and control Kodiak Driver autonomous trucks in low-speed, hands-on situations, blending remote guidance with onboard autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as an Assisted Autonomy driver using remote assistance station with steering wheel, pedals, and brakes to guide Kodiak Driver.
  • Remotely control self-driving trucks in low-speed environments such as tight yards or complex drop-off areas.
  • Adhere to safety and testing requirements under test specialist coordination.
  • Safely operate company vehicles as an essential function of the position.
  • Maintain a clean driving record to meet company auto insurance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL License with clean driving record
  • A minimum of 3+ years of verifiable and recent Class A experience
  • Ability to pass a background check and practical road test
  • Pass drug test, MVR and have a current DOT physical
  • Comfortable working with computers, flexible with growing responsibilities, growth mindset
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Safety minded
  • Willing and able to work flexible shifts & schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Requires frequent sitting and driving
  • Be able to understand and execute complex testing requirements under test specialist coordination
  • Healthy driving record meeting insurance criteria
