About the role

Senior staff product manager for Kodiak's Level 4 autonomous trucking platform, responsible for strategy, roadmap, and cross-functional leadership across customer deployments and scaled commercialization.

Responsibilities

  • Product strategy and vision: Define the multi-year product roadmap for your area, grounded in customer needs, competitive dynamics, and commercialization trajectory.
  • Cross-functional leadership: Unify Engineering, Program Management, Operations, and Commercial around a shared product vision.
  • Execution at scale: Own the product lifecycle from opportunity identification through deployment and iteration, with quality and metrics across multiple workstreams.
  • Prioritization and resource influence: Set prioritization frameworks and influence engineering roadmap and resourcing for customer-critical investments at VP/executive level.
  • Product definition: Author product requirements; collaborate with Design and Engineering to ensure architecture aligns with long-term needs.
  • Performance and readiness: Define metrics and readiness criteria; manage product health and communicate to customers, leadership, and the board.
  • Customer partnership: Own senior product relationships with key customers, translating operational complexity into actionable product direction.
  • Organizational impact: Mentor senior PMs and contribute to the product management craft and processes.
  • Travel: 10-20% travel to deployments and customer sites.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Product Management experience with several years as a senior IC driving strategy across complex, technical product domains (autonomous vehicles, robotics, logistics, or safety-critical systems preferred).
  • Demonstrated organizational influence: ability to shape strategy at VP level and above.
  • Technical authority: deep technical fluency to engage with engineering leadership on architecture and feasibility; background in engineering or CS required.
  • Ambiguity at scale: proven ability to guide in novel problem spaces with evolving markets.
  • Customer and commercial acumen: experience owning high-stakes external customer relationships and linking decisions to fleet economics and contracts.
  • Cross-functional leadership without authority: ability to drive alignment and accountability across teams.
  • Executive communication: capacity to distill complex tradeoffs into clear narratives for C-suite, board, and customers.
