About the role

Validation Engineer responsible for validating performance, reliability, and operational readiness of autonomous defense systems, leading test campaigns, building validation tooling, and collaborating with engineering to drive product maturity.

Responsibilities

  • Validation strategy & test design: Define validated state, design test plans and scenarios, determine metrics and pass/fail criteria.
  • Build the validation toolkit: Develop procedures, tooling, test methods, software and hardware from design phase.
  • Run campaigns & analyse results: Plan and lead field and simulation/bench tests, analyze data to separate real issues from noise and quantify performance.
  • Close the loop with engineering: Report defects/anomalies and work with design teams to drive fixes and maturity.
  • Support the wider group: Contribute to validation trials for other teams, sharing data and lessons learned.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree (or equivalent) in aerospace, mechatronics, electronics, robotics, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in validation, test engineering, flight testing or related discipline, ideally on aerospace or robotic systems.
  • Structured, systems-level approach to designing test plans, defining metrics, and analyzing noisy flight data.
  • Ability to reason about whole platform (airframe, avionics, GNC, RF) rather than a single subsystem.
  • Hands-on field experience with outdoor campaigns and ability to work with technicians.
  • Clear communication and rigorous documentation; ability to manage a small team and collaborate across backgrounds.
  • Working-level English; French or Arabic is a strong plus.
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel for field campaigns, with occasional trips abroad
  • Bonus: experience with autopilots/flight computers, telemetry and log analysis, basic Linux.
