About the role

Growth Lead role at HUD to help meet the right people and evangelize HUD’s vision, with a focus on candidates for hiring, AI engineers/researchers at events, and key people in the AI ecosystem. Not a traditional GTM growth role; the scope can evolve based on individual impact.

Responsibilities

  • Telling HUD’s story and getting people excited about our vision through worldbuilding
  • Finding, connecting, and meeting with candidates, AI engineers and researchers, and other key people in the AI ecosystem
  • Define our culture and values, then screen candidates and develop an onboarding process for new hires based on them
  • Work with the Chief of Staff to own end-to-end recruiting, including building and optimizing the systems (recruiting ops and tooling, automated workflows, etc.)
  • Work with the Marketing & Events Lead to host community events, represent HUD at industry events, and create content
  • Work with the GTM Engineers to find intros or connection pathways into high-priority leads

Qualifications

  • Genuine excitement about frontier models and telling HUD’s story
  • Explain your interest in detail under “Why are you interested in working at HUD?”
  • Experience finding and connecting with people in any context (e.g., recruiting or GTM)
  • Strong soft skills - well-spoken, extraverted, good at reading people
  • Desire to learn recruiting, marketing and events, GTM, or related functions
  • Early-stage startup experience with ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
