About the role

Field AI is transforming how robots interact with the real world by building risk-aware, reliable, and field-ready AI systems for embodied intelligence. The role focuses on owning full-stack product features, building scalable backends, modern frontends, and 3D visualization to support robotics-focused products.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-stack product features from design through production
  • Build scalable backend services using Node.js (Express) and Python
  • Develop modern, high-performance frontends using React
  • Implement 3D visualization features using Three.js / WebGL
  • Design APIs, data models, and system architectures using clean design principles
  • Partner closely with AI, robotics, product, and commercial teams
  • Debug performance issues and optimize rendering, data, and API pipelines
  • Contribute to shared codebases and raise engineering quality through reviews and collaboration

Qualifications

  • Typically 5–10+ years of experience building and shipping production software
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and React
  • Solid system design skills across data modeling, APIs, and UI/UX tradeoffs
  • Experience working with MongoDB and Redis (or similar databases)
  • Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications in AWS (or equivalent cloud platforms)
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
