About the role

Software Engineer on the Employee Engagement & Engineering (EEE) team within Apple’s Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) organization. Develop native macOS, iOS, and iPadOS applications in Swift/SwiftUI, incorporating AI capabilities and platform interoperability to deliver high-quality, user-centered experiences for Apple employees.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain native application features in Swift and SwiftUI across macOS, iOS, and iPadOS
  • Own features end-to-end: from requirements and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and iteration
  • Build features that leverage AI and platform services to enhance usability — surfacing intelligence contextually and reducing manual effort
  • Integrate with system frameworks (App Intents, Shortcuts, extensions) to create connected, interoperable experiences
  • Write thorough automated tests (unit, integration, UI) and contribute to a culture of engineering quality
  • Conduct and participate in code reviews; provide and receive constructive technical feedback
  • Partner with designers and product managers to translate requirements into polished, accessible solutions
  • Diagnose, debug, and resolve production issues; contribute to post-incident learnings
  • Maintain clear technical documentation for systems, APIs, and design decisions

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, with demonstrated experience shipping production applications on macOS, iOS, or iPadOS
  • Experience with RESTful API integration and client-side data architecture
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
