About the role

Artifact AI hires top performers to own and build the integration layer end-to-end (NetSuite-focused initially) for an agentic accounting platform. Role combines backend (Python, async) with integration design, monitoring, and customer-facing diagnostics across ERP connectors, with a hybrid London/NY location.

Responsibilities

  • Own the integration layer. Design, build, monitor, and maintain every connector touching the product; anticipate breaking changes and determine how new tools plug in.
  • Depth on NetSuite including SuiteQL, SuiteTalk REST/SOAP, SuiteScript 2.x; handle gaps with SuiteScript 1.0 as needed; manage OneWorld specifics (subsidiaries, classes, departments, segments, intercompany, elimination, multi-currency, consolidation).
  • Own rest of stack integrations (QBO, Xero, Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Ramp, Gusto, Dext, and future tools); set data model conventions, sync patterns, observability, and customer-facing diagnostics.
  • Backend is Python with asynchronous and distributed systems; may move to frontend or infra when needed; partner with customers to understand stack configuration and translate into reliable mappings.
  • Set direction on ownership and shipping; balance speed and quality; prefer practical solutions over clever abstractions.
  • Leverage AI and other tools to be 10x; know when to hands-on to ensure shipping bar is met.

Qualifications

  • Strong Python and deep API integration experience (auth flows, rate limits, retries, idempotency, schema drift)
  • Hands-on experience building integrations against ERPs or accounting systems with understanding of chart of accounts, journal structure, multi-entity and multi-currency
  • History of owning a surface area (end-to-end ownership) rather than just contributing to a part
  • Experience with integration of Netsuite at depth (OneWorld) or substantial ERP integration experience across multiple ERPs
  • Fluency across several major ERPs (Sage Intacct, Dynamics, QBO, Xero, etc.) and accounting stack
  • Experience with exposed data models and data quality in integrations
  • Strong communication with customers (controllers, accounting ops, admins) to understand configurations and map them reliably
