About the role

Senior Merchandising Manager responsible for expanding and managing the Home Decor product assortment, driving assortment strategy, revenue, margins, and growth for the Home Decorating category.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Home Decorating assortment strategy (decorative accents, seasonal decor, faux florals, pillows & throws, etc.)
  • Launch and expand new product types in year one (faux florals & trees, seasonal decor, vases & trays, mirrors, decorative storage)
  • Leverage data and customer insights to build, optimize, and scale the assortment (performance analysis, product mix optimization, evidence-based decisions) to meet customer needs and financial goals
  • Continuously identify whitespace in the assortment and refine product roadmap
  • Use ratings, reviews, and return rate data to conduct quality improvements for products with improvement opportunities
  • Partner with Sourcing to identify and develop new products prioritizing performance, sustainability, and quality
  • Collaborate with marketing, site, and creative teams for compelling launches and storytelling
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration as category expert and customer advocate
  • Operate as a data-driven decision maker balancing art and science of merchandising
  • Communicate effectively as a cross-functional partner to drive category success

Qualifications

  • 10-12 years of retail merchandising experience in the home decor category, preferably with luxury expertise
  • E-commerce and/or DTC experience preferred
  • Proven track record of progression and growth in roles
  • 2-3+ years managing direct reports
  • Product-obsessed with data tooling experience and external data sources
  • Strong ability to anticipate customer needs (science and art of retail merchandising)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical with focus on execution and process improvement
  • Continuous learner, curious, proactive in adapting to challenges
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated by fast-paced, collaborative environment with flexibility across functions
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
