About the role

Director of Legal Operations leading the LGA technology, processes, and operations to enable scalable, AI-enabled legal services across CoreWeave’s global business.

Responsibilities

  • Management of Core Legal Tools & Platforms: selection, configuration, adoption of core legal systems (e.g., CLM, matter management, AI-enabled legal platforms, e-discovery, e-billing); oversee administration, integrations, permissions, and user adoption; drive AI governance and measurement of impact.
  • Professional Services & Vendor Management: manage outside counsel and vendor spend, onboarding, invoice review, Outside Counsel Guidelines and billing compliance, rates and performance evaluations.
  • LGA Budget: coordinate budget, forecasting, accruals, drive spend discipline, billing accuracy, cost transparency and ROI.
  • Metrics, Reporting & OKRs: define OKRs and operational metrics; develop repeatable reporting from core systems (Asana, Ironclad, Salesforce, Brightflag) to executive views; demonstrate year-over-year improvement.
  • Defining Strategy & Operating Models: lead AI evolution and enablement; set multi-year LGA operations strategy and roadmap; lead change management for high-quality legal service delivery at scale.
  • Cross-Vertical Support across LGA: provide on-demand operational support across legal verticals (Real Estate, Commercial & IP, Securities, Strategic Transactions & Capital Markets, Government Affairs, Tax Incentives, Regulatory, Compliance & Privacy, Employment, Corporate).
  • Team Leadership & Talent: build and develop a high-performing legal operations team; foster ownership and accountability.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: partner with finance, procurement, IT, security, privacy, compliance, sales and other stakeholders; embed process standards and align with audit requirements.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in legal operations, with significant experience at a fast-paced high-growth technology, cloud, or infrastructure company; public-company experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership and scaling of a legal operations team; accountable for legal tech stack, CLM management (e.g., Ironclad) and AI adoption.
  • Experience managing outside-counsel billing platforms, e-billing, vendor management, invoicing, budgeting, and accruals for in-house legal departments.
  • Track record of building scalable processes, self-service frameworks, and risk-tiered approval models with business partners.
  • Strong command of Legal & Government Affairs metrics and OKR/KPI development; ability to translate data into executive narratives.
  • Familiarity with responsible AI governance implementation.
  • Leadership presence, cross-functional influence, and ability to build consensus among stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of translating strategic priorities into measurable initiatives and closing the plan-to-execution gap.
