About the role

Hardware System Design Engineer role focused on designing and bringing up high-volume Apple Vision Pro hardware, collaborating across cross-functional teams, prototyping, testing, and optimizing electrical systems for robustness and production readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Solve challenging engineering problems by selecting components, designing schematics, directing layout, and bringing up/debugging circuits in the lab.
  • Work with partner teams to realize prototypes to aid in product definition and user testing.
  • Define test criteria and execute test plans on functional prototypes to demonstrate design robustness.
  • Collaborate with distributed teams across multiple Apple sites and potentially travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

  • Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals.
  • 5+ years hardware development engineering in a team environment.
  • Experience with schematic capture & layout review.
  • Experience in prototyping, bring-up, debug and validation.
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
