About the role

Role focused on pre- and post-silicon bring up, validation of end-to-end cellular systems, and collaboration across SoC, PHY, PHY HW/FW, and L1 SW teams to ensure end-to-end system requirements are met. Involves hands-on pre- and post-silicon verification, validation, and bring-up to support productization.

Responsibilities

  • Pre- and post-silicon bring up and validation of end-to-end cellular systems
  • Map systems algorithms and requirements to HW/FW architecture
  • Simulation and emulation-based validation of control flows and PHY/L1 algorithms
  • Collaborate with SoC, PHY, PHY HW, PHY FW, and L1 SW teams to ensure end-to-end system requirements are met
  • Hands-on pre- and post-silicon verification, validation, and bring-up of silicon to support productization

Qualifications

  • MS in EE or related field
  • Knowledge of cellular standards: 5G NR, 4G LTE; familiarity with 6G is a plus
  • Deep knowledge of communication system theory and signal processing (LDPC, Polar, Turbo encoders, estimation/detection, uplink power control, RF impairments estimation/correction, channel estimation, OFDM, MIMO)
  • Experience with Matlab, C/C++ and/or Python for algorithm development and link-level simulation
  • Experience in low power algorithm design for power-critical applications (helpful)
  • Experience in end-to-end timeline analysis for time-critical algorithms (helpful)
  • Experience in chip bring-up with lab equipment (protocol test equipment, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters)
  • Hands-on lab testing & characterization of wireless systems
  • Strong analytical skills (linear algebra, random processes, detection and estimation)
