About the role

Research scientists/engineers to create breakthrough innovations in machine learning, computer vision, computer graphics, and related areas, with a focus on image and video synthesis, 3D reconstruction, and neural rendering. Works with world-class ML researchers and engineers to power cutting-edge technologies across the Apple ecosystem and publish in top venues.

Responsibilities

  • Work on breakthrough innovations in machine learning, computer vision, computer graphics, and related areas.
  • Focus on image and video synthesis, 3D reconstruction, and neural rendering.
  • Collaborate with a team of top ML researchers and engineers.
  • Develop complete prototypes that achieve state-of-the-art performance.
  • Contribute across the ML research stack from low-level system programming to high-level algorithm development.
  • Deliver clean, well-tested code.
  • Publish research in relevant conferences (e.g., CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS, SIGGRAPH, etc).

Qualifications

  • Bachelors, Masters, or PhD Degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Research experience in 3D reconstruction, neural rendering, view synthesis, image & video synthesis.
  • Publication record in relevant conferences (CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS, SIGGRAPH, etc).
  • Solid software engineering skills in complex systems; Fluency in Python.
  • Expertise in ML algorithms and best practices for deep learning systems.
  • Proficiency with ML modeling frameworks (PyTorch, Jax, etc.).
  • Strong software development approach; ability to deliver clean, well-tested code.
