About the role

Hardware System Design Engineer responsible for selecting components, designing schematics, directing layout, bringing up and debugging circuits, and working with cross-functional teams to realize Apple Vision Pro prototypes and mass-produced products. Travel may be required; collaboration across multiple Apple sites and with contract manufacturers.

Responsibilities

  • Solve challenging engineering problems by selecting components, designing schematics, directing layout, and bringing up/debugging circuits in the lab.
  • Work with partner teams to realize prototypes for product definition and user testing.
  • Define test criteria and execute test plans on functional prototypes to demonstrate robustness of designs.
  • Collaborate with distributed teams across multiple Apple sites; travel domestically & internationally as required.

Qualifications

  • Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals.
  • 5+ years hardware development engineering in a team environment.
  • Experience with schematic capture & layout review.
  • Experience in prototyping, bring-up, debug and validation.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
