About the role

Electrical engineer responsible for design, manufacturing, and integration of embedded electronics powering next-generation flight systems and ground support equipment in a stealth-mode Aerospace & Defense startup.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design and manufacturing processes for custom harnesses
  • Support design of embedded avionics systems including power, compute, sensing, actuation, and communication subsystems
  • Act as the primary point of contact for any manufacturing issues on electrical assemblies
  • Determine layer stackup, perform component package selection, component placement, routing feasibility studies, and signal routing of digital, analog, RF, and power conversion of printed circuit boards (PCB)
  • Create and release documentation for fabrication of PCBs
  • Own schematic design, component selection, PCB layout, and design review
  • Manage board-level bring-up, debugging, and validation in lab and field test environments
  • Guide board-level manufacturing, testing, and assembly processes (both in-house and external vendors)
  • Establish test procedures for validation, environmental, and EMC/ESD qualification

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Strong experience with Altium Designer or similar CAD system (KICAD, EAGLE, CADENCE)
  • Experienced with High-speed digital electronics, embedded microcontrollers, RF components, power electronics, digital buses (CAN, SPI, UART, I2C), sensor integration
  • 1-5 years of experience designing, building, and testing embedded electronics for aerospace, defense, robotics, or automotive systems
  • Proficiency in schematic capture, layout (Altium), and board-level signal and power integrity design
  • Familiarity with environmental design constraints including thermal, EMI/EMC, shock, and vibration
