About the role

Role focused on building AI-powered data systems to automate and accelerate data science workflows, including AI agents for end-to-end analysis, retrieval infrastructure, and self-serve data products within a data-first AI environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build AI agents that do data science - systems that explore data, form hypotheses, run queries, interpret results, and generate actionable recommendations with evaluation and human review loops.
  • Make AI systems query the warehouse reliably - develop retrieval infrastructure and evaluation loops using semantic context and metadata.
  • Accelerate the AI-native data workflow - convert top AI-assisted workflows into repeatable systems and reusable tools for the data team.
  • Automate the data lifecycle - create self-healing pipelines, automated dbt model generation/validation, data quality agents, and diagnosis workflows.
  • Ship AI-powered experiment analysis - build agents to interpret A/B test results, flag statistical issues, identify drivers, and draft ship/no-ship recommendations.
  • Turn the data team into a product team - build internal data products and self-serve AI interfaces for stakeholders.
  • Own the full lifecycle - identify high-leverage problems, prototype with LLMs, evaluate accuracy, design UX, ship to production, and monitor quality.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years in data science, analytics engineering, data engineering, or related role.
  • Deep SQL and analytics judgment.
  • Strong product sense.
  • Hands-on LLM experience (frontier models, agents, RAG, evals, or AI-powered workflows).
  • Pipeline and modeling fluency (dbt, warehouse schemas, data quality, durable data systems).
  • Builder mentality and ability to ship, measure quality, and iterate.
  • Autonomy to define roadmap and execute.
