About the role

Lead and manage the client’s SaaS vendor (Octave) and oversee end-to-end integration, data migration, testing, and rollout for capital projects programs in a remote/onsite hybrid environment. Drive program controls, vendor governance, change management, and scaling of the solution beyond pilot across complex, asset-intensive projects.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the client’s owner’s representative, embedded with and managing the SaaS vendor (Octave) through design and build, including discovery, configuration design, integration build, testing, and data migration for pilot projects.
  • Manage the vendor relationship end to end — governing scope, schedule, quality, commercial terms, and product roadmap dependencies, and ensuring adherence to the statement of work.
  • Review, challenge, and sign off on vendor configuration design and solution architecture to ensure alignment with capital projects controls practices, standards, and program objectives.
  • Oversee integration design/build across scheduling (Primavera P6), finance/ERP (SAP), and reporting/analytics data feeds; ensure cost and schedule data integrate consistently across systems.
  • Hold the vendor to scope, schedule, quality, and acceptance criteria; track, document, and drive issues, risks, and change requests through resolution.
  • Govern data migration approach and validate migrated data for pilot projects prior to stage-gate acceptance.
  • Assure vendor test strategy, execution, and results; confirm acceptance criteria before progressing stage gates.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement across scheduling, finance, IT, enterprise architecture, and controls leadership to align with program priorities.
  • Develop implementation and rollout approach for scaling the solution beyond the pilot, including a wave-based rollout structure, sequencing, resourcing, and governance.
  • Provide hands-on technical project management across parallel workstreams, including planning, sequencing, dependency/interface management, and risk-based delivery control.
  • Lead the client-side implementation team through rollout and transition to in-house delivery capability.
  • Establish and enforce data and controls standards for consistency across projects and systems as the platform scales.
  • Formulate program controls processes to monitor scope, cost, schedule, contracts, risk, quality, and performance.
  • Lead organizational change management (OCM) across a complex operating environment, including stakeholder impact analysis, process redesign, training, communications, and adoption tracking.
  • Prepare and present progress, risk, and stage-gate reports to program and executive leadership; support recommendations and decisions on delivery.
  • Identify delivery risks and implement mitigation and contingency strategies across vendor-led and owner-led phases.
  • Remote: This role allows for remote work for the majority of your work hours.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in capital projects controls, enterprise systems implementation, or technical project management on large or complex programs
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Ability to work on-site as needed
  • 12-month contract with the possibility of extension
