About the role

The Forward Deployed AI Engineer at AMD is embedded within the Compute and Graphics team to build and ship AI tools and automations that improve workflows, with focus on adoption and real-world impact across CG teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build tools and automations that integrate AI into CG workflows.
  • Collaborate with the CG team to understand real bottlenecks and workflows; deliver usable solutions.
  • Ship tools, observe adoption, fix issues, and iterate based on user feedback.
  • Share developed patterns and enable reuse across teams.
  • Explain technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders and manage multiple relationships/workstreams.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of technical experience, including 1+ year building and shipping AI workflows
  • Fluency with AI development tooling: agent frameworks, API integrations, Claude Code, Cursor, and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
  • Strong Python and SQL, plus at least one other common language
  • Track record of AI tools, automations, or agentic systems that changed real work (not just demos)
  • Evidence that enabled people actually changed how they work
  • Ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical people
  • Ability to manage multiple relationships and workstreams across AI skill levels
