About the role
Junior software engineer role at Molecule.one, Kraków, Poland. Focus on building software for complex scientific workflows, server-side services, data pipelines, and ML model deployment within a cross-disciplinary team developing the Maria platform.
Responsibilities
- Helping build software solutions for complex scientific workflows
- Designing and implementing server-side services & APIs
- Participating in UX and product design discussions
- Designing and implementing data pipelines that connect lab workflows with our software
- Helping deploy and run machine learning models in production — packaging, serving, and monitoring them as part of our platform
- Building, testing, and refining AI agents that automate parts of our internal processes — from lab workflows to engineering tooling
Qualifications
- Curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to take ownership of well-scoped tasks, ask good questions, and follow through
- Openness to using AI coding tools thoughtfully, with a critical mindset toward generated code
- Experience with TypeScript or Python, and willingness to learn the other
- Knowledge of basic programming paradigms, best practices, algorithms, and data structures
- Interest in working hands-on with LLM-based agents — designing prompts, tools, and evaluation loops
- High agency mindset (questioning authority, proposing solutions, independent work)
- Communicative English (B2 level)
