About the role

Chief of Staff for Scale AI’s Public Sector business unit, partnering with VP, Public Sector Engineering & Security to drive strategic planning, cross-functional initiatives, executive reporting, and optimization of the unit's operational rhythm and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an extension of the VP, Public Sector Engineering & Security by attending key meetings and calls on the VP’s behalf, supporting client development, external presentations, internal problem solving, and special projects
  • Run strategic planning for the business unit to scoping business priorities, align with senior leadership, and lead initiatives that impact KPIs
  • Own operational rhythms for the business unit (leadership meetings, all hands, offsite events), executive deliverables, and special projects
  • Own all executive-level reporting that communicates progress and blockers for the business unit and act as primary liaison to central functions such as finance, communications, marketing, and legal
  • Report to the VP, Engineering & Security of Scale’s Public Sector business unit

Qualifications

  • A strong orientation towards outcomes and a track record of scrappy, results-driven work
  • Effective interpersonal style for both deep technical discussions and executive-level communications
  • Proven ability to build high-trust relationships across the organization
  • Experience leading small teams and managing multiple complex work streams
  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Deep intellectual curiosity about AI and machine learning, particularly in applications that advance national security
