About the role
Founding Engineer (AI) at Kabilah to build the intelligence layer powering nursing workflows. Design production AI systems with safety-critical operation, build infrastructure, evaluation frameworks, and feedback loops, and collaborate directly with hospital executives and clinicians to iterate from real-world feedback.
Responsibilities
- Build the AI infrastructure powering Kabilah's clinical agents and workflows.
- Design evaluation systems that measure and improve accuracy, reliability, and clinical usefulness.
- Own integrations with EHRs and other clinical data sources.
- Improve latency, observability, and safety across the AI platform.
- Partner directly with hospital execs, unit managers, and bedside nurses to understand clinical workflows, demo new capabilities, and rapidly iterate on the product.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience building production software.
- Experience building LLM applications, agentic systems, evaluation frameworks, or related AI infrastructure.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Ability to travel periodically to customer sites and company offsites.
