About the role

Tank Payments is hiring a Software Engineer to contribute to AI-driven financial infrastructure for the trucking/logistics industry. The role is full-time, in Austin, TX, with a compensation package including salary and equity.

Responsibilities

  • Implement AI pipelines for intelligent document processing, payment optimization, risk assessment, and business infrastructure.
  • Build systems to securely and reliably move billions of dollars in payments across multiple stakeholders.
  • Optimize systems for high availability and fault tolerance to enable 24/7 payments.
  • Develop real-time fraud detection and prevention mechanisms.
  • Contribute to both front-end and back-end development across a full-stack stack (backend APIs to user-facing dashboards).

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in software development (internships or personal projects welcomed).
  • Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure, web technologies, and modern frameworks.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to thrive in an early-stage startup environment.
  • Comfortable with learning new technologies and adapting to changing requirements.
  • Collaborative, curious, and eager to work with product and design teams.
