About the role

Backend-focused software engineer role at Krea, working across the full backend stack (SvelteKit app, Postgres, Redis, ClickHouse, Python services for ML inference, Kubernetes) to design, build, and run production-grade systems end-to-end.

Responsibilities

  • Own backend systems end-to-end: design, monitoring, metrics, incidents.
  • Work across the full backend stack: SvelteKit app, Postgres, Redis, ClickHouse, Python services for ML inference, and Kubernetes clusters.
  • Durable execution for long-running workflows: build state machines, idempotency, and retry semantics for multi-step inference jobs.
  • Improve public API: design a clean API surface with OpenAPI docs auto-generated from Zod schemas.
  • Develop enterprise features: ACLs, audit logs, entitlements, and other organization-wide capabilities.

Qualifications

  • 4–8 years of experience in production systems (or equivalent scope and judgment)
  • Comfort across the stack and ability to work with unfamiliar code
  • Ability to design scalable architectures and communicate clearly without heavy PM direction
