About the role

Senior role in AMD's Datacenter Platform Engineering Group focusing on development and manufacturing launch of cutting-edge datacenter hardware (server and rack systems), coordinating across design, manufacturing, quality, and program management to ensure on-time launches and high-quality production.

Responsibilities

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Engineering Design, Materials, Rack/Server Systems Program Management, and other teams to align design, materials planning, manufacturing, and quality throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Design & DFM Reviews: Review design specs, CAD drawings, and documentation; lead Design for Manufacturability reviews to optimize for manufacturability and production.
  • Project Scheduling & Readiness: Develop and maintain project schedules and readiness timelines; communicate status to customer program management and internal stakeholders.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) Leadership: Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving meetings; identify and resolve design or production issues to ensure smooth launches.
  • Technical Design Reviews: Lead regular development review meetings; provide guidance during design reviews to ensure manufacturability.
  • Prototype & First Article Oversight: Oversee first article builds and FAI; document requirements and implement improvements.
  • Production Support & Change Management: Coordinate engineering rework and ECO processes during transition to volume production.
  • Assembly Process Validation: Validate and approve production assembly instructions; ensure processes are well-documented and optimized.
  • Quality & Delivery Assurance: Ensure final products meet specifications and quality standards; support ramp-up into high-volume production.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/ Masters degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field required.
