About the role

Genius in Apple Retail combines troubleshooting skills with customer service to educate customers, diagnose and repair Apple hardware and software, mentor team members, and support leadership in resolving escalations.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and resolve service concerns for Apple hardware and software.
  • Provide excellent service by understanding customer needs, presenting product/service recommendations, and educating customers on relevant purchasing options.
  • Educate customers about repair options and Apple offerings; perform repairs on all Apple products serviced in the store.
  • Enhance team knowledge by mentoring and modeling exceptional service; educate and mentor Genius Bar team members.
  • Identify recurring repair problems and service concerns, provide feedback to Apple through team leaders.
  • Support leadership in providing timely resolution to customer escalations.
  • Support customer-facing activities on or off the sales floor; contribute to an inclusive environment.

Qualifications

  • Be available to work a schedule based on business needs including nights, weekends, and public holidays in the retail store; comply with local laws and accommodations.
  • Experience in retail or sales, or related work experience.
  • Ability to visually inspect hardware and perform repairs with fine motor skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a customer service environment.
  • Proficiency in the local language, both written and spoken.
