About the role

Strategic supply chain role focused on materials readiness, availability, and visibility. Responsible for coordinating with Contract Makers and internal teams to ensure material supply for production, including CTB/28- week horizon visibility, NPI readiness, allocations, and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Handle the CTB process, ensure visibility on materials over a 26-week horizon.
  • Partner with CM’s and GSMs on material issues until resolved.
  • Ensure smooth flow of materials to meet production schedules and inventory control requirements.
  • Clarify logistics requirements by commodity for uninterrupted material flow.
  • Lead phase-out of obsolete parts and transition to new production materials; identify and mitigate E&O; track E&O claims and reserve implications; report to Finance for reserves; ensure timely resolution.
  • Lead material readiness during New Product Introduction (NPI) by coordinating with GSMs on supply base challenges, lead times, supplier share, and risk mitigation.
  • Identify critical engineering release breakthroughs; assess risk ramp and liabilities to protect ramp materials.
  • Identify issues early in NPI and drive resolution prior to ramp; assess supply chain for new modules/components.
  • Play a meaningful role in allocation of scarce components; provide aggregated supply vs demand view for program/site allocation decisions; collaborate with SDM and GSMs; communicate allocation plans.
  • Build and maintain executive-facing reports and summaries on a regular (weekly/daily) basis; ensure data accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in Materials / Production Planning
  • Technical expertise and prior OEM materials management experience
  • Advanced Excel user with strong modeling techniques
  • Professional experience with complex supply chain, technical expertise, or prior OEM management experience preferred
  • Highly analytical and detail oriented
  • Strong written and oral interpersonal skills with the ability to present to Executive teams
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering with an MBA from a premier institute
